German restaurant

My friends really enjoy beer and wanted to try this place out, I do not like beer but do very much enjoy german food. My friends really enjoyed their beers saying it was fresh and went down easy. The food we ordered was amazing, the pork was so good and the saurkraut was fresh. I really enjoy a good mustard was rather disappointed it tasted much like wasabi. I am sad to not have not seen they had pretzels as someone else posted, I would have loved one of those! I suppose that means my friends and I will have to return at some point! Over all the place was pretty clean. The bathrooms have a button that activates some kind of disco light show. I did not care for the picnic style tables to sit on but it wouldn't effect my decision to not return in future. The food is definitely worth coming back for.

Stopped in on a busy Saturday night downtown, was able to sit down right away. Waitress/bartender was prompt and friendly. The place stays packe, is loud, and very close quarters, if that's not your scene, don't bother. Food was excellent and the beer selection, especially German, is very very expansive!

Our craving for good, old-fashioned Germanic fare was amply satisfied by the Combination plate which features schnitzel, bratwurst, rouladen, spaetzle and red cabbage. The chalet's interior is well appointed with wood features which are reminiscent of earlier times and the servers were attentive and friendly.

Authenticly German. German music playing, nice homey atmosphere.. Waiter checking on us more then once, topping up water without being asked. Very attentive... Food was delicious and generous portion sizes.

I came from 2 hours away to meet up with my son and fiancée at Otto's Bierhalle. What a fantastic dining experience. We were warmly greeted and seated at a clean and spacious table. The service was excellent and the food was so delicious. I split the brunch meal (see attached photo) with my son and it was so tasty and the variety of food was perfect and reasonably priced. I was so pleased to have visited and eat at this fine establishment. I can guarantee I will be back there again when I go back to Toronto. You should also visit this hidden gem!

One of my favourite places to go for German Cuisine. It feels very authentic to what you may get in Germany. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food is incredible. Highly recommend going there before they close for good!

Went there tonight for dinner, it was our first time there but it won't be the last! Everything was great from being seated, ordering drinks and getting appetizers. There were only two server's working and one cook but you'd never know it. Our server Brendan was very attentive and made sure we were happy with our meal. Only question is where's the lederhosen??" really good prices and quality is best place to buy sausage

Was really interested to try this Indian x German fusion. Tried all three of these dishes and thoroughly enjoyed them. I feel like the Schnitzel is better bang for your buck but was still happy with the curry goat. Only downside was it took longer than expected to receive our food after ordering.Would definitely eat here again.

We are happy we decided to try this place. The soup was a great start and had the Jager schnitzel. It was really good. We didn't leave room for desert but the options sounded inviting. Our server was also very informative and helpful. We would love to return when we visit Kingston again.
