Provence restaurant

After a few nights of trying a few restaurants around the city, we decided for the last night to stay in the hotel for dinner, and do we wish we had for that whole trip! The french onion soup was probably the best I ever had, even better than the ones Ive had in France. I think every single thing we had was beyond expectations, big kudos to the chef!

We had an incredible breakfast at the @oscorestaurant located adjacent to the lobby of the @intercontinentalmontreal.The ambiance was very French country and the gentleman that served our table informed us that they serve locally sourced ingredients to produce Provence-inspired dishes.The breakfast menu was not extensive but ample enough to satisfy anyone’s desire.Each order of their main course plate, gives one access to the buffet selections of cheeses, fresh fruits, pastries and more.My favourites from the buffet were the croissant (best one I’ve had in years) and the cheeses.We ordered the following:*** The Benedictine - Two Eggs Benedict with bacon and mushrooms and served with potatoes. The eggs were perfectly cooked and with just enough hollandaise sauce to round up this delectable entrée. The crispy shallots/onions on the top of the eggs gave the dish that extra texture. WOWZA and YUMZA! 10/10!*** The Smoked Salmon Bagel - Fairmount bagel, smoked salmon, cream cheese and arugula served with salad and potatoes. The highlight of this dish was definitely the amazing quality of the smoked salmon. I cannot get enough of it! WOWZA and YUMZA! 10/10!The Mimosa and the outstanding service from everyone just elevated the entire breakfast experience.I would love to come back to the restaurant the next time I stay in the property to check out their dinner offerings.

First review - We went for MTL a table and we will definitely come back! Everything on the menu was original and delicious. The place looks good and staff is great.Second review - we went back for my birthday and they've prepared a special menu for us which was, once again, delicious! Amazing service and a good wine variety!

Beautiful restaurant with a small but really good menu where you can build your own plate to your liking, service was impeccable as well !

Lovely host and the wait staff explained the dishes excellently and the sauces. The cheese plate looked fantastic and the desserts were delicious.

We had Anthony as a server. Fantastic service from beginning to end. Food was beyond succulent, impeccable presentation! Worth every penny! Great spot in old Montreal!

After 4 days of no power...this is just what we needed. Excellent service and recommendations for our server, the food was excellent from entrees to dessert. Will be back definitely for our anniversary in May.

This is one you must try.. decor was so homie yet very elegant. Service was on point. Bathrooms were very clean and nice. Food was also good.. go for it if you can

The food is good. The service was confusing and for the brand and price, sub-par.Staff couldn't figure out what almond milk was. At first we thought it was fluke but after both waiters at dinner and breakfast couldn't figure out how to find out if there was almond milk for a latte and then for oatmeal I have to wonder how they train staff. At dinner we tried to order a glass of champagne. He showed up with a bottle. When I asked for a third time what champagne was available by the glass, he said he didn't know but it was fine" and from Italy.Champagne from Italy

Our party of 6 had a reservation for 6:30 and we were seated at that time. We were sitting for 90 minutes and had not received all of our appetizers. After mentioning this to the manager we were told that they are busy and short staffed. The manager said he would have our main courses out next. The meals arrived but we asked to have a couple of items heated up because they were not warm. They returned with the same dishes but the items were still not hot. Also, the staff did not ask if I wanted another drink as I had an empty glass in front of me for 45 minutes.To be fair, some of us did enjoy their meal just not up to what we expected after having dined in other restaurants nearby.We all agreed that if the manager or staff had informed us upon our arrival that they were short staffed and that we would be 2 hours before we would get our substandard meals we could make a decision to accept the situation or make alternate arrangements.We will never return as there are many good options nearby.The establishment has nice decor and atmosphere. Perhaps we visited on a day when they had a staffing issue, but that does not justify poor customer service and serving lukewarm food.
